Report a concern
Report suspected fraud or impersonation, unsafe or inappropriate material, AI-generated or materially altered images, copyright or privacy concerns, misleading business information, or another breach of the Terms.
Please include the profile link, what you observed and any useful evidence. Do not send passwords, one-time codes, bank-card details or unnecessary identity documents.
Urgent danger
If someone may be in immediate danger or a crime is in progress, contact the appropriate emergency service or the South African Police Service first. A Cakebook report is not an emergency service.
What happens next
We assess reports in context and may request more information, preserve records, restrict a listing, remove content, suspend access or refer a matter to the appropriate authority. We do not promise a particular outcome and may be unable to disclose private moderation details.
Ordering safely
- Check recent work, references and business details.
- Get the description, price, deposit, collection or delivery, cancellation terms and allergens in writing.
- Be cautious of pressure, sudden account changes, unusual payment requests or requests for one-time codes.
- Keep messages, quotations and proof of payment until the order is complete.
